Jonathan Pollard is the principal of Pollard PLLC, a Fort Lauderdale-based litigation boutique focused on competition law. He has extensive experience litigating non-compete, trade secret and antitrust matters. He has tried both jury and bench trials to verdict and successfully prosecuted appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Florida District Courts of Appeal. Jonathan has been interviewed about non-compete and trade secret issues by reporters from Bloomberg, FundFire, Inc. Magazine, and more. He has taught continuing legal education courses to other lawyers on topics related to non-compete and trade secret litigation. He has published numerous articles on non-compete litigation, most recently in Litigation Commentary & Review. In addition to litigation, Jonathan routinely advises both companies and individual on related issues including employee poaching and raiding, hiring decisions and the purchase or sale of business interests.

Mr. Pollard is admitted to practice law before the state courts of Florida as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to establishing his own firm, he was an attorney at Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP where he represented numerous blue chip companies in complex securities and antitrust cases.

Mr. Pollard is a magna cum laude graduate of Cornell University and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. During his time at Cornell, he served as the President of the Cornell Speech & Debate Team and earned honors as a national finalist and All-American; received a research fellowship through the Andrew Mellon Foundation; was elected to the Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Program and was nominated by the University to represent Cornell in the Rhodes Scholar competition. Mr. Pollard attended law school at Georgetown University on a scholarship and served as an associate editor of the Law Review.

Prior to law school, Jonathan taught high school English in southwest Baltimore, Maryland. To this day, he remains actively involved with public education and education reform. In November 2014, the City of Lauderdale Lakes honored Mr. Pollard by proclaiming November 24th Jonathan Pollard Day in honor of his extensive work with the debate program at Boyd Anderson High School.
